The inside of my computer…

The first thing I’m going to talk to you about here is my computer – and all you tech geeks are going to love it.

I’ve got not one, but seven 3 terabyte hard drives (that’s 21 terabytes of storage and power – that’s like something out of a space movie!) hooked up to my machine, and that gives me amazingly quick processing.

I don’t have a monitor – I used to, but I no longer need one, as I wear an eye visor (yes… just like the one of Star Trek!).

This basically fits around my head and over my eyes. What I see then is a 47-inch display of what’s going on down in my PC tower. Not only this, but I don’t use a mouse to control the cursor on the display, I use my mobile phone’s screen.

I managed to program a touch-pad to work wirelessly (via Bluetooth) on my phone. All I have to do is run the program on my phone and move my finger around the screen to control the mouse.

Not only this, but I can actually take my computer anywhere I go – and again, it’s because of my phone. I can be 300 miles away from home and my mobile phone will connect to my computer at home and allow me to do the work I need to do. For this, however, I use my phone (instead of the eye visor) – because I think I’d look a little silly walking around with a visor around my eyes!

So – that’s more or less the framework of my PC at home… pretty impressive I know! All I’ve done is taken technology already out there and used it to my advantage! Great!

I’ve not quite got to the stage where I can move objects with my phone yet (almost like remote control) – but I’m working on that with a few small model planes and boats. Once I have perfected this, I will move on to using my phone to try and drive a full-sized car (in a safe place, of course).

My love for technology really never dies, it just grows. I love everything to do with technology and I’m always looking out for new products coming on to the market. Just recently, Apple brought out their Ipad – something I’ve been waiting to get my hands on for a very long time! I’m not going to bore you with a lengthy review, but I’ve got to say, the technology used in this tablet is very impressive – hats off to them!
